C. Kemmons Wilson, III (“Kem”) is a Principal of Kemmons Wilson Companies

History and Current role with the company
Kem started with Kemmons Wilson Companies in 2005 helping to oversee various private investment initiatives. In late 2007, Kem’s primary focus moved to overseeing the marketable securities portfolios for Wilson family members, various Wilson-related corporate entities, and Wilson-related charitable entities. Today, Kem along with three other third generation family members lead day-to-day operations of KWC, including the formulation, implementation, and management of KWC’s long-term vision and strategy. Prior to joining his family’s business, Kem gained work experience in both the financial services industry and the non-profit industry. Kem began his career as a research analyst for a hedge fund of funds and as a financial analyst for an investment consulting firm. He then spent a couple of years in Jackson Hole, WY where he worked as an occupational therapist for a non-profit corporation servicing people with disabilities.
